London: Actress Lindsay Lohan's father wants her to quit "Manson Girls", which is about mass murderer Charles Manson, because he feels it could end her career.

Contactmusic.com reports that Lohan has agreed to play cult member Nancy Pittman in the film.

Manson family members murdered seven people in the 1960s, including Oscar winner Roman Polanski's actress wife Sharon Tate.

Michael Lohan, Lindsay's father, recently reunited with his daughter after serving some time in prison and is not happy with her choice of this controversial role.

He wants her to choose wholesome family films, which will help her regain fame.

He said, "I don't know who is making her decisions for her. But I just wish she would go back to those family-style films, The Parent Trap , Freaky Friday , you know. This is a bad decision and I don't know who is telling her to do it."
