Mumbai: A local court today adjourned till May 8, hearing on a petition filed against Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat for her alleged obscene performance on New Year eve-2006 at a five star hotel here.

Complainant Vinod Jain's counsel Shitla Pande sought time from court as his client is unwell. Metropolitan Magistrate G Wankhade granted time and adjourned the matter till May 8 for final argument and order.

The complainant has alleged that Mallika's programme, organised at J W Mariott Hotel, was not only obscene and ugly but also against Indian culture. He prayed for action against the Bollywood actress for performing the obscene dance. The court has already examined three witness presented by complainant during the last hearing.
