Nanhe Jaisalmer makes entry into National awards
Tuesday, March 18, 2008 14:36 [IST]

Samir Karnik certainly has a reason to smile. Nanhe Jaisalmer has been chosen as one of the nominees for National awards this year. In addition to that, his upcoming films Heroes and Roshan are selected for different categories in the Cannes Film Festival. The festival will be held in France in the month of May.

Excited about the new happenings in his career, Samir Karnik claimed that despite the fact that the first copies of both his films (Heroes and Roshan) were not out; he managed to send a working piece, which has been accepted by the fraternity of Cannes. Although his films would not be showcased but just the thought of sending films for a competition category gives him a new high.

Samir is all praises for the cinematographer, Binod Pradhan. He claimed that Pradhan's work in both the films was simply outstanding. He went on to add that it s really difficult to win at Cannes but they are hoping for the best.

Now if that's not a reason to celebrate then what is?
