London: The producers of the hit TV show "ER", through which Oscar winner George Clooney's career got a jumpstart, are hoping to get him to return for the show's final season.

Producers John Wells and David Zabel want to lure some of the favourite former cast members into returning for the final instalment of the show, reports contactmusic.com.

Zabel said: "We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now. We'd love to get them all back in some way, but that doesn't mean we're going to. But we're going to try."
