London: Hollywood actress Natalie Portman is scared to go anywhere near water after she visited a psychic.

Contactmusic.com reports that the psychic told her to "stay away from water". Portman, who is 26, is now petrified because she has also been told that her life will take an abrupt turn at 34.

She said: "He (psychic) told me that my whole life will change when I'm 34 and that I should stay away from water."

Portman has appeared in such hits as "Star Wars" and received an Oscar nomination for "Closer".
