LONDON: Pussycat Dolls singer Carmit Bachar has confirmed that she has left the girl group.

She was the only original member of the Los Angeles-based burlesque dance troupe from which the band was formed, contactmusic.com reports.

She wrote on the band's website: "I wanted to be the first to tell you that I'm no longer with the Pussycat Dolls but we will always be sisters forever."

The band has no plans to replace Bachar and will carry on as a five-piece.
