Shreya Saran to star in Deepa's 'What's Cooking'

shreyasaranMumbai: Shreya Saran, who debuted in Mahesh Bhatt's Awarapan, is thrilled to have bagged a role in Deepa Mehta's international production What's Cooking.

This is Shreya's second international assignment as she is already doing Hyde Park Entertainment's Other End of the Life, produced by Ashok Amritraj. The movie, being directed by Jimmy Dodson, also has Anupam Kher, Tara Sharma and Jesse Metcalfe in the cast.

Shreya, who is now a well-known name in south India, has been signed to play an important role in What's Cooking.

"I could not believe when Deepa Mehta called me to offer a role in her movie, Naturally, I am happy because I will be exposed to a different style of filmmaking. It will be a new experience for me," said an enthusiastic Shreya.

What's Cooking is jointly produced by Deepa Mehta Combine and B.R. Films.

Shreya did the leading female role in last year's biggest grosser Sivaji-The Boss.

Currently, she is working in Sangeet Sivan's Ek, which also has Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar in the cast and Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul, also starring Abhishek Bachchan, Suneil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Zayed Khan.

In What's Cooking, she will share stellar honours with Seema Biswas and Lisa Ray.

The movie is at present being shot on locations in New Delhi.
