Blunt's producer angry with record company
Saturday, March 08, 2008 23:21 [IST]

New York: Music producer Linda Perry, formerly lead singer of 4 Non Blondes, worked on James Blunt's song "You're Beautiful" and says the record company cheated her of money.

Perry says she did all the work on Blunt's hit album "Back To Bedlam", making it a huge success, reports Tmz.com

She claims she signed Blunt in 2003 and did "tireless promotion" even though the record company, Warner Music Group, was not excited about it. But the album soon took off, making more than $100 million.

Perry has alleged that things got nastier when the company reworked their deal with Blunt behind her back and made her lose out on more than $5 million.

A representative for the company said that Perry "has always been and will continue to be compensated in accordance with the terms of its contractual arrangement."
