After the success of Jab We Met Producers are lining to sign Shahid Kapoor as the sole lead in their project

It’s not only Kareena Kapoor who has reaped all the benefits of the success of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met, the film’s hero Shahid Kapoor too seems to be headed for a dream run this year.

The films that are lined up for Shahid Kapoor, all have him playing the solo lead. What’s more, production houses are knocking at the doors of this boy with multi-crore deals. Now, UTV has also approached the star with a deal after Yash Raj Films and Vishal Bharadwaj.

Insiders have it that UTV is on the verge of cracking a multi-crore deal with Shahid. “They had approached him earlier but Shahid could not make any kind of commitment. Today, UTV is ready to pay three times more so that Shahid give them preference on a priority basis. And the amount is anything between Rs 15 to 20 crores.”

Vishal Bharadwaj, whose Omkara was a multistarrer, is all set to embark on a product that too with Shahid being the only hero of the film. Ken Ghosh’s tentatively titled Star will also have Shahid in the solo lead.

Plus, there’s Aziz Mirza’s Kismet Konnection with Shahid as sole hero which will be hitting the screens very soon. It is noteworthy that after working with powerhouse performer Shah Rukh Khan, Mirza opted to work with Shahid!

Well, Shahid is definitely inching his way to the top!
