London: Pop star Nick Lachey will have to propose to his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo because she is too old fashioned to ask the question herself.

Contactmusic.com reports that Minnillo is a TV presenter-turned-actress and she is too traditional to ask the question herself. 

Sources say she is ready to marry Lachey but doesn't want to do it the Hollywood way and ask him to marry her. 

She said: "I know that a lot of girls nowadays are proposing to guys, but I think I'll be old-fashioned. I'll be old and grey before I propose."
