The actor is looking forward to his two-month long vacation with Sara and Ibrahim

Saif Ali Khan seems to be making news all the time—be it for his current ladylove Kareena Kapoor, his guitar-strumming skills, the famous tattoo, snapping at Nisha Kothari (whilst being on the phone with Kareena) or his slick look in his next movie Race.

While he is often addressed as a ‘Rockstar’, Saif doesn’t seem to be enjoying this image. “There are a lot more people out there who are brilliant musicians and true rockstars. I think this image has no relevance. People only react to actors and that is worrying sometimes,” he said. After a pause he nevertheless smiled and added, “On second thoughts, I think it’s okay!”

And amidst a ‘happening’ personal and professional life, what kind of an equation does Saif share with his kids—daughter Sara and son Ibrahim? “I am a friend and a father to them. I try balancing both.” Who is the stricter of the two—he or their mother Amrita Singh (Saif’s ex-wife)? “I get angry quickly but even cool down faster. Sara says that Amrita doesn’t get angry easily but when she does, the children know that they are in a tight spot,” he revealed.

Saif, who hasn’t been able to spend much time with the kids, shared his plans of going on a two-month long vacation with them. What the trio enjoying doing together the most is ‘swimming, bowling and reading’. “They enjoy seeing my films and even give me honest feedback. If they don’t like my work they tell me so,” elaborated Saif.

And how do they react to their father hitting the headlines often? “My kids are chilled out. I think they have figured out that such things will happen,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Saif is also excited about his newly formed production company Illuminati Films Pvt Ltd. His first project will be directed by Imtiaz Ali and it will roll in May. “Now that we have turned producers, everyone in the industry is our potential client. I get along with quite a lot of people.  I have been in this field for 15 years. I am much more confident than I was earlier,” he ended.
