A brand new song featuring Saif and Katrina has been added to Race long after the release of its audio, reports Joginder Tuteja
Kareena may be the real life love of Saif Ali Khan but on screen, Katrina Kaif is the woman he will be calling his Sexy Lady. In the soon-to-be released Race, the Saif would be serenading his lady love to the beats of the brand new song Sexy Lady.
The song is a new number composed for the film and isn’t in the music album which is already out on the stands.
Confirmed Pritam, “Sexy Lady is a number created especially for Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif. It belongs to the R&B genre. After Zara Zara Touch Me, this will be another sizzling track featuring the two hot bods. Sameer has written the lyrics for it.”
Shooting for the song has already begun last Monday. So going by the trend, is this going to be a promotional music video for the film?
“No,” Pritam said, “Sexy Lady would be very much a part of the film and would come as a part of the narrative. It is not just a music video.”
Race already features three chartbuster tracks —Race Sanson Ki, Pehli Nazar Mein and Zara Zara. Considering that the music is already ruling the charts, what was the need of including one more number in the film?
Ramesh Taurani of TIPS, who is the producer of the film divulged, “Earlier Mujhpe To Jadoo (sung by Taz, Sunidhi Chauhan and Apache Indian) was composed for this situation. However, we found a better song in Sexy Lady and decided to use it instead as a replacement. In any case, Mujhpe To Jadoo was not picturised so it only made the job easier to decide upon the replacement.”
The last outing of the company Naqaab starring (Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Urvashi Sharma) didn’t quite work at the box office. This means that the production house would be banking heavily on Race.
When would a listener get a chance to hear Sexy Lady? The special edition audio CD including the new song would hit the stands during first week of March,” said Pritam.
Meanwhile what would happen to Mujhpe To Jadoo? Will it be lost in oblivion? “Not really,” informed Ramesh Taurani, “We will certainly do something about it. Once the film is released, we may decide to make a promotional music video of the song.”
