Kolkata: Legendary Bengali screen actress of yesteryear Suchitra Sen has been admitted to a city nursing home here after she complained of fever and related ailments.

The actress was admitted to Belle Vue nursing home last night, the nursing home's administrator, Dr P Tandon, said this morning.

As Sen has not come out of her private world ever since she quit acting decades back and guards her privacy zealously, the nursing home kept the news of her illness and admission a secret.

This is the second time she has been admitted to a nursing home within six months.
