The Bidaai girl Parul Chauhan fainted due to exhaustion while performing for a television show
Erratic schedules, long working hours and irregular eating habits push tele-stars to sheer exhaustion.
The recent case in point is that of Parul Chauhan, who plays the character of Ragini in Bidaai on Star Plus. The incident occurred when she, along with Sara Khan (her co-star in the same soap), were shooting for a Valentine’s Day special show.
As it turned out, both the girls were finding the dance steps difficult and were constantly faltering. To add to it, the heavy lights and the presence of several unit members made them feel claustrophobic.
As the performance was drawing to an end, Parul fainted. She was taken backstage and was given first aid. Water was sprinkled on her face and a doctor was called in.
When contacted, Parul said, “I was very stressed as I have been on my feet shooting and rehearsing for this show simultaneously for almost a week. To add to it, I hadn’t been
eating properly because of the erratic schedules.”
According to her she was mentally disturbed and worried as her brother was hospitalised. All this took a toll on her health. She was feeling uneasy when she reached the sets but didn’t tell it to anybody as she “did not want to disrupt the shoot”.
Added Parul, “After I collapsed, the unit members were very helpful. I didn’t want anyone to say that I had disturbed the shoot. So I resumed as soon as I was fit.”
Though she’s been advised rest, Parul is raring to come back on the sets.
“I am thin as it is. The irregular eating habits are not doing any good to my health. I have fainted several times on the Bidaai sets. Now, I have done so in another show too,” she signed off on a funny note.
