Saturday, December 22, 2007 16:37 [IST]
anuragAnurag Kashyap’s Return of Hanuman gets the tag of the first commercial film to be granted the education certificate. Usually, documentaries that convey knowledge and information are being selected for such an honour. However, this is for the first time that a commercial film has been chosen for Educational Certificate.

Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director of Percept Holdings, confirmed the news and said that the message about Global Warming communicated at the end of the film is the reason for the certificate been allotted to it. Global Warming in the eyes of the adults might be just another issue. However, children look at it with a different perception. Having dealt with such kind of issue should hopefully be an eye-opener for the people who are not taking it seriously.
Feeling immense proud to have Return of Hanuman been selected for the educational Certificate by Censor Board, he added Return of Hanuman also reinforces the belief in mythology which will have a huge impact on present generation as far as culture and traditions are concerned. And, thus this gives another reason for Censor Board to have chosen Return of Hanuman as the first commercial film for educational certificate.

The Return of Hanuman is also seems to have spoofed movies from the yesteryear’s to latest blockbusters like Om Shanti Om.

The film has the famous dialogue” Kitne Aadmi the” from Sholay. There will be the scene where antagonist would act like Gabbar but everything has been set-up in a modern scenario. It also has a popular selling formula from the present filmy world that is an item number which is titled ‘Super Star’
