Bangalore: With actor Vijay expressing regrets over his "non-cooperation" with Kannada Director S Narayan during the production of his latest film Chanda, the Karnataka Film Chambers of Commerce (KFCC) today withdrew its one year ban imposed on him.
Since the film Chanda had already been released and the actor had expressed his regrets over his action, it had been decided to withdraw the ban imposed on October 29, a KFCC statement said here.
Vijay, who plays the main role in Chanda, directed and produced by Narayan, refused to do dubbing for the film despite the latter requesting him, saying he would do the dubbing once his other film Yuga was released.
He also insisted that Narayan release Chanda, after Yuga completed 50 days of screening.
In view of the actor's obdurate stand, FKCC decided to impose a one-year ban on him.
