'Aaja Nachle' director Anil Mehta has brushed the rumours that actress Madhuri Dixit is unhappy with the promos of the film and says everything is fine.

Is it true that Madhuri Dixit was unhappy with the way ‘Aaja Nachle’ has turned out?
I don’t know who spread these rumours, especially when Madhuri hasn’t even seen the movie yet. In fact, the first print has just come out, and the minute it is fully ready, we will show it to her. Madhuri belongs to that school of actors who are not too fussy about all this.

Was she kept informed about the progress of the film?
Of course, she was. She was here for the shooting of the film in summer, and even after she went back, she was constantly kept up-to-date on how it’s shaping up. She has also seen some stills from the film. We will be holding a special screening for her soon.

There have been issues about the plot of the film being given away in the promos…
That is an unfounded allegation. In fact those who are making this statement should watch the film and they will be surprised. I am a firm believer in the fact that unless you reveal some part of the plot, the audiences will not get attracted to the film.

Are expectations from the film too high? Especially since this is your debut film as director?
Well, that cannot be helped. I know that Madhuri’s comeback will be subjected to a lot of scrutiny, but as a film maker I feel I have done the best that I could. I hope that the audience like it. If not, we will go back and reflect on what we did wrong.

What will be your next step?
I haven’t thought about it. I will first watch the reactions to ‘Aaja Nachle’, and then decide.
