The Dhoni-Deepika saga doesn’t seem like its taking to rest very soon. While it was the Ranchi boy who expressed his liking for Deepika sometime earlier, the lady charming too seems to be enjoying the spotlight to the fullest.

This was pretty obvious at the T-20 match on Saturday which Deepika attended primarily after receiving a special invite from Dhoni.

“Dhoni seemed quite besotted by her and Deepika was all over the giant screen when Dhoni was on the pitch,” says an onlooker.

However, her appearance with Shahrukh Khan can’t help us but wonder whether this might be an extended publicity gimmick for her upcoming film ‘Om Shanti Om’.

“She has received enough publicity otherwise; there would be no reason to do something of this sort with her. And it was Dhoni who seems smitten; she is just being herself,” says someone from the industry who did not wish to be named. But that’s not all.

After dodging very many questions from the media about Dhoni, right after the match, Deepika also landed up at the after
match party at Indigo on Saturday night.

Buzz is that she was very comfortable posing for the shutterbugs with Dhoni at the party. Lastly how can we forget the special request that came from Dhoni to Shah Rukh Khan at Johannesburg for a special screening of the film? ‘Om Shanti Om’ will be screened specially for the team (or is it just for Dhoni?) sometime in the first week of November.
