MUMBAI: Bollywood star Bobby Deol and Dwij Yadav hosted a special screening of their film "Nanhe Jaisalmer" at INOX theater in Santacruz for the children of Voice, an NGO catering to the needs of street children.
  
Speaking to reporters here Bobby Deol said, '' I am proud to be associated with this film. Critics might say what they feel like but I think when people see the film they will realize how sweet it is and take the film home with them. Kids don't like to study when you put a book before them but if you make learning fun they will do it. I have kids and I know how they react.''
  
"Nanhe Jaisalmer" is a story of a ten year old boy and his idol superstar Bobby Deol. The film covers a short period in Nanhe's life where he learns life's most important lessons from the person, whom he considers his best friend-his dost. Nanhe lives in Jaisalmer with his mother, sister and a camel and earns his livelihood as a tourist guide.
  
A spokesperson from Voice said, ''Voice is an NGO that believes that the potential of every child is limited only by the education, love and opportunities we give them. And by delaying their entry into the labour force and acquiring schooling children are likely to  become more productive, earn more and are in better control of their lives".
  
The movie has a background of rural education and thus children of Voice were an obvious choice. Through this movie they aim at empowering children by emphasising the difference that education makes in the lives of children.
