Celebrities and social initiatives have always gone hand in hand and here’s one more. Though Shah Rukh Khan’s smooth locks and new avatar may not have received all praises from his fans, that doesn’t deter him from his enthusiasm in social causes.

King Khan, who has made his cameo in many social awareness campaigns (remember him in his clean white shirt asking you to keep your city clean?), will now be seen in a wildlife conservation awareness campaign.

“The campaign will have SRK talking about the Indian Forest Guard as the real hero. It’s great he agreed considering his mass appeal,” says Aneetaa Malhotra, managing trustee, Sanskara Development Trust, responsible for launching the national level campaign. 

So, how did they manage this coup of sorts? “Getting an appointment with him was no mean feat considering he is such a busy person, but once we met him he showed utmost interest. Once he got involved with the project, he made sure to give his 100 percent,” says Aneetaa.

She says SRK is very keen to help protect wildlife, once again proving why he is King!
