VidyaLessons I’ve learnt

Vidya Balan, Actor

My family and friends keep me grounded. For my parents, my sister’s job appraisal is as important as the appreciation I receive. I have no qualms about washing my plate after dinner.

If He has brought me here, He will take me along. We are not the doers. I may stand on my head and people will not notice.

I may sink in the background and yet people could take note of me. It’s just about doing your best and leaving the rest to God.

Being in the media glare, a basic curiosity about you is natural. But sometimes, it can go to unfair levels. The first time I read something written about me, I was upset. But today I have learnt to insulate myself.

I don’t see quitting films as a prerequisite to marriage. But yes, I am a committed person.
