The album of "Mungaru Male" has been no less successful than the film and is rocking the charts this week.

The top five Kannada films are:

1. "Mungaru Male" - Distributors Anand Audio reportedly paid around Rs.500,000 for the marketing rights of the album. The returns have been about 50 times as much. Music director Mano Murthy has composed his best songs for the film -- "Anisuthidhe yaako eno", "Araluitidhe" and "Mungaru maleye".

2. "Duniya" - The songs picked up after the release of the film. The popularity of the song "Kariya I love you" has immensely benefited the album's marketing. Since the film is doing well at the ticket window, audio sales are also showing an increasing trend. The album's success has given a new lease of life to its composer V. Manohar.

3. "Hudugaata" - The success of "Mungaru Male" has made Ganesh a star and his presence in "Hudugaata" has benefited the music of the film. The audio is a huge success. The songs of the yet unreleased film are well choreographed.

4. "Pallakki" - "Kannalli neene neene" is a hugely popular song. Composer Guru Kiran can breathe easy now, as the album's success has brought him back into the reckoning.

5. "73, Shanthi Nivasa" - Actor Sudeep tasted huge success in the audio market with "My Autograph". His "73, Shanthi Nivasa" too has some melodious songs composed by Bharadwaj. The audio is showing impressive sales records. Analysts feel that it may do better after the film's release. "Geeya Geeya" is a popular song.
