He looks vulnerable in most of his videos and that is precisely what makes the women go weak in their knees. Latin heartthrob Enrique Iglesias made women in the city go crazy when he performed here in 2004. His new album ‘Insomniac’ is on the brink of its release and VJ Pia Trivedi met the star in Amsterdam for an interview.

“It was an absolute pleasure to meet him. He’s great fun to talk to and he makes you feel like he’s your friend. There are no tantrums like you would expect a star to have,” says Pia.

She made him speak in Hindi and cites that as an interesting anecdote from the interaction. “We translated his song ‘Escape’ in Hindi and made him sing it. He did it really well and would put most of us to shame,” she laughs.

She says the artiste is exploring different routes as far as his new albums and videos go. “He is giving hip-hop a shot, but not on this album. He also said that his new album will be different from his earlier ones,” she reveals.

What Pia enjoyed the most were Enrique’s kisses. “Enrique gave me five free kisses,” she giggles. But that’s certainly not the reason the hottie has allegedly split from former tennis star and long-time girlfriend Anna Kournikova.

There’s some good news for his fans in India too. If rumours are to be believed, he will be visiting the country in the months of September or November.
