Purbi Joshi is excited with her new assignment— ‘Star Gold Comedy Honors’. “It’s a subject close to my heart because I love doing comedy.”

The initiative, which has begun from April 1 and will continue through the month month also, has a line-up of comedy films and scenes to view. Purbi hosts an hour long episode everyday  and shares trivia about the comedy greats and anecdotes during the filming of the scenes. She also  performs gags and take-offs.

Speaking about her co-host and actor Shreyas Talpade, Purbi says “He’s a thorough professional. I became his huge after I saw his performance in ‘Dor’. Though he’s not a very chatty person, he has a sense of humour. Also, he’s very cool with no starry tantrums at all.”

Purbi is aware that her name has now become synonymous with comedy courtesy the show ‘The Comedy Show—Ha Ha Ha’ (Star One). “I simply love doing comedy. I like
fiction but nothing worthwhile has come my way. I will not say yes to anything that comes along. I am happy this way.”
